After a long holiday season we decided to get away from the concrete jungle of Houston and head west to the beauty that is Big Bend National Park. We stayed at Lajitas Resort, a super cute western style golf resort about 20 minutes from the park entrance. The park is broken into three sections; the west side, the chinos basin, and the east side. We ventured to the Window in the Chisos Basin that leads you to an awe inspiring cliff edge 220 feet above ground. If the views don’t shock you, the strong gusts of wind and smooth rock will. Then came the Santa Elena Canyon, along the US-Mexican border you are shocked by the mammoth canyon split by the Rio Grande! If you haven’t taken the trip, I hope this pictures encourage you to!
